The former Sofapaka custodian will battle for the number one jersey alongside Harambee Stars duo Brian Opondo and Joseph Okoth, as well as youth graduate Edwin Simiyu.
Tusker FC have strengthened their goalkeeping unit with the acquisition of experienced custodian Brandon Obiero from National Super League side FC Talanta.
The 12-time league champions confirmed the signing of the 29-year-old on Thursday through their official social media platforms, announcing that he has joined the Brewers on a one-year deal.

"We are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Brandon Obiero, who joins us from FC Talanta,” the club posted.
Obiero, a former Kariobangi Sharks and Sony Sugar goalkeeper, could not hide his joy after sealing the move, describing it as a significant milestone in his career.
"I am really delighted to join Tusker FC. This is a huge step in my career, and I am ready to give my best to help the team achieve its goals this season. Of course, there are very good and experienced goalkeepers here, and I am ready to compete for a starting role. It will not be easy, but that is the beauty of football,” he said.
Tusker head coach Charles Okere hailed Obiero’s qualities, insisting his addition will provide more competition and strengthen the squad.
"Brandon is a good goalkeeper with great potential, and we are happy to have him on board. He has shown good quality at Talanta, and we believe he will grow even further with us. Competition for places is important in a team like Tusker, and his addition gives us more options,” Okere noted.
Although yet to make his senior debut for Harambee Stars, Obiero was once part of the provisional squad for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers under Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee.
He boasts vast experience across the Kenyan top flight, having turned out for Posta Rangers, Sofapaka, Bidco United, and Kariobangi Sharks, while also enjoying stints in the National Super League with Migori Youth and Coast Stima.
At Tusker, the former Sofapaka shot-stopper will battle for the number one jersey alongside Harambee Stars duo Brian Opondo and Joseph Okoth, as well as youth graduate Edwin Simiyu.
Obiero becomes Tusker’s eighth signing in a busy transfer window that has already seen the arrival of two-time FKF-PL MVP Eric Kapaito, Eugene Ikutwa, Yakeen Muteheli, Curtis Wekesa, Francis Oduor, Vincent Owino, and Dennis Oalo, underlining the Brewers’ intent to reclaim dominance in the upcoming season, having gone trophyless for the past two campaigns.
