Kasarani Stadium and the Kasarani Annex will host the two matches.
Nairobi United will face Posta Rangers at the Annex, while Mathare United meets Mara Sugar at the main arena. Both matches kick off at 4 pm.
Posta Rangers vs Nairobi United – Kasarani Annex
Posta Rangers head to the game fresh from ending their six-match winless run, following last Monday’s 1–0 victory over Bidco United.
Under new coach Collins 'Korea' Omondi, the Mailmen are targeting back-to-back wins, as they seek upward movement on the league standings in what will be the first-ever competitive meeting between the two sides.
It will, however, not be a straightforward task.
Nairobi United come into the match aiming to bounce back after last Thursday’s 1–0 defeat to Mathare United, which was their third loss in four matches.
Nicholas Muyoti’s side have made their ambitions clear in their debut top-flight campaign.
They will be out to halt the current slump and keep their target of challenging strongly in their maiden season alive.
After 11 matches, Posta have collected four wins, a similar number of draws, and three defeats.
Nairobi United have so far played seven, winning four and losing the rest.
Mathare United vs Mara Sugar – Kasarani Stadium
At the main stadium, Mathare United take on an equally inconsistent Mara Sugar.
The Slum Boys will be eager to build on their win over Nairobi United and avoid slipping back towards the relegation zone, as the campaign gathers speed.
Mara Sugar, on the other hand, have already been dragged into the danger zone and will hope to fight tooth and nail to climb out when they come up against John Kamau’s side.
The Millers are winless in their last three games, having suffered two defeats and a draw.
They will be desperate to prevent Mathare from securing back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
Last season, Mara beat Mathare 3–0 in the first leg before completing a double with a 2–1 victory in the return leg.
This season, Mathare have played 11 matches, winning four, drawing twice and losing five.
Mara have played ten, winning two, drawing five and losing three.
