The Champions League holders win 3-1 in Switzerland, but it was a bumpy ride for Pep Guardiola's side

Manchester City maintain their perfect Champions League record with a hard-fought 2-1 away win at Young Boys on Wednesday night.

Erling Haaland scored a double in the second half, his first UCL goals in six games, first with a penalty and then with a fine curling effort.

However, it was anything but an easy task to clinch the victory against the die-hard underdogs, as they didn't succumb to despair at all after Manuel Akanji's opener in the 48th minute. The Swiss side pulled level shortly after through Meshack Elia's remarkable chip.

Pep Guardiola seemed stressed and nervous before Haaland finally stepped up, ensuring City remained top of Group G with nine points out of three games.

The Cityzens are now unbeaten in their past 16 Champions League matches, winning ten and drawing six.
