Genoa went 1-0 up against Napoli with a stunning goal, but the points stay in Naples (2-1)

Football is sometimes cruel, just like life itself.

Instead of making the headlines around the world thanks to his spectacular opener against Napoli at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium on Sunday night, Genoa's striker Jeff Ekhator will stay in the shadows of Rasmus Hojlund. The ex-Manchester United striker sealed the Partenopei's complete comeback with his third goal in two matches.

Antonio Conte's Napoli celebrated a 2-1 win, which puts them back at the top of Serie A standings, while Patrick Vieira's side are 19th and without a single victory despite some incredible talent demonstrated on the pitch.

Take that Ekhator's goal, for instance. The 18-year-old forward of Nigerian origins opened the scoring with a brilliant finish. The teenager poked it like an experienced striker with a backheel to head it home inside the area for a shocking lead, 0-1.

Conte realised that things had gone out of his control at that point and decided to stop gambling. Kevin de Bruyne came on at the start of the second half, which massively affected Napoli's game.

Leonardo Spinazzola's cross was aimed at De Bruyne in the middle, but Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa behind him stuck his neck out to head it home for 1-1.

The comeback was completed with a quarter of an hour left to play. De Bruyne sent in a cross from the left, and Scott McTominay brought it down. Anguissa's initial attempt was blocked, but Hojlund was right there to slot it low for a 2-1 victory.
