What a pity, Norwich are destroyed by Pep's City

The Citizens have made a statement, that's for sure. They send Norwich back home with five in their bags (5-0)

Brutal. Forceful. Determined.

That's how Pep Guardiola's Manchester City look like in the first days of the new season. Norwich were poignantly desperate at Etihad and will go home with as much as four conceded goals in their bags.

It could be even worse, but the Spanish tactician made lots of suburbs and reduced that undeniably ruthless rhythm. The hosts were eager to break the deadlock from the very kick-off and then resume the game with no dilemma of the outcome.

It went smoothly for them after a bit clumsy reaction from the visitor's defence resulted in Tim Krul's own goal seven minutes into the game. Soon enough, it was 2-0 thanks to Jack Grealish's first goal for City in his maiden match in front of home fans.

The fact that Norwich's first shot on target came only 12 minutes until the end tells a story of its own. To be honest, they did their best to prevent a catastrophe, but it was a totally one-sided game throughout the entire match.

Laporte was lucky enough to make the most of the situation after the corner-kick in the 64th minute after the entire Norwich's defence (once again) showed signs of an unacceptable confusion. Raheem Sterling banged the fourth, while Mahrez put a cherry on the top, with City's fifth goal of the game.
