What's it gonna be - manager of the month or the almighty Lukaku?

Tottenham will face Chelsea (18.30) in the Premier League matchday 5 derby

Three Premier League appearances for him in his second spell with the Blues and three goals - that's the summary of Romelu Lukaku's current season so far in the role of Chelsea '9'.

The Belgium striker is unplayable, looks intimidating and lethal in the opponents' box and denying him any chance of scoring will be Spurs main task this afternoon.

TOTTENHAM - CHELSEA

Tottenham slipped in the previous round to Crystal Palace and fallen from the top of the table, while the mid-week was embellished with a decent 2-2 away draw at Rennes in the Europa Conference League.

Nuno Espirito Santo was rewarded as the EPL manager of the month (August, of course), thanks to the first three 1-0 wins. However, it's not August anymore, and September provides many challenges, with the Chelsea tie being probably the most difficult one.

How to stop their big man Lukaku? Not impossible, for sure, but the fact he failed to score in only three games for Inter in the entire last season tells a story of its own. Moreover, his goal-scoring instincts are also high in the Champions League, which proves he's in his prime.

"He is goals," said former Liverpool, Blackburn and Newcastle tactician Graeme Souness at Sky Sports:

"You've got someone who can get you goals out of nothing. I think he's near enough the complete striker - he's not brilliant at anything, he's very good at everything."
