League leaders Kenya Police Bullets will take to the field, and so will joint second-placed teams; Vihiga Queens and Trinity Starlets even as the league table continues to take shape.
Police shot to the top after thrashing Kisumu All Starlets 9-1 in a league match played on Sunday, 9 November, with both Margaret Kunihira and Emily Moranga scoring hat-tricks.
The defending champions will be hoping to continue with their 100% record start to the league season when they host Bungoma Queens at the Police Sacco Stadium from 1100 hrs.
A win against the Western Kenya side will solidify their lead towards the league title, and decent life under coach David Bujego, who joined the team just before the start of the season.
Despite the strong start, Bujego cushioned his side against complacency, acknowledging the threat posed by Bungoma Queens.
“The girls started the season on a high note, and I believe they are ready to face Bungoma. Our match against Bungoma will not be a walk in the park.
Our opponents have won one match, drawn one with two losses, and they will be aiming to redeem themselves from the goalless draw against Kayole last weekend. I am urging my players to work hard,” Bujego told Citizen Digital.
The former Kibera Soccer Women coach also disclosed that he will be missing the services of Rebecca Odati and Lucy Kwekwe, who picked up injuries in their win over Kisumu All Starlets.
On his part, Bungoma Queens head coach Godfrey Mabonga, who guided his team to a goalless draw against league newbies Kayole Starlets, is confident of a win against the defending champions.
"They (Police Bullets) won 9-1 against Kisumu but they should know that we play a totally different game compared to Kisumu so they should expect fireworks from us,” said Mabonga.
Ulinzi Starlets vs Trinity Starlets
At the Ulinzi Sports Complex, military side Ulinzi Starlets will face an on-form Trinity Starlets from 1100hrs.
Ulinzi head into the match on the back of a 1-1 draw with Vihiga Queens, and will be hoping to take full advantage of the home support and get back to winning ways.
However, the team suffered a major setback, as they will have to compete for the better part of the season without the services of Lavender Akinyi, Mary Ojende, Joy Kinglady, Tabitha Amoit, Cindy Ngaira and Phiona Ariko.

The six have all left for Defense Forces Recruit Training School after successfully joining the military.
Trinity, on the other hand, are on a rich vein of form, having won three of their first four matches, and currently joint second with 10 points.
Coach Sylvanous Wesonga exuded confidence of clinching the win, noting that his side are giant-killers.
“We are prepared and ready to face Ulinzi. They are a strong side, and it will be a tough match, but myself and the players like such matches because we like toppling big teams when we are underdogs,” Wesonga told Mozzart Sport.
Zetech Sparks vs Vihiga Queens
Varsity side Zetech Sparks will lock horns with league giants Vihiga Queens from noon at the Zetech University, Mang’u Campus Grounds.
Zetech will be out to build on their 3-1 win over Gideon Starlets and collect another three points today that would take them up to fourth on the log standings.
Vihiga, on the other hand, dropped their first points of the season in the 1-1 draw with Ulinzi Starlets, and will be seeking to return to winning ways and keep pace with Police Bullets, whom they aim to topple for the league title.
Gideon Starlets vs Kisumu All Starlets
In the last match of the day, bottom placed Gideon Starlets will once again have a chance to collect their first point(s) of the season when they host Kisumu All Starlets at the Raila Odinga Stadium, Homabay (ROSH) from 1300 hrs.
With both teams in the relegation zone, a win for either side will boost their resurgence journey or survival chances.
