KISPED Queens vs Ulinzi Starlets
The first match of the day saw KISPED Queens host military side Ulinzi Starlets who were keen to keep pace with the title race which is already taking shape.
KISPED who are just a place above the relegation zone were looking to use their home advantage to create a buffer from the danger zone and managed to do so for 83 minutes.
In the 84th minute, Ulinzi who had been pushing for a goal all along found the back of the net through Fasila Odhiambo a lead that they kept until the final whistle and earned three valuable points.
Ulinzi have moved to fourth in the league table with 22 points, six less than league leaders Kenya Police Bullets.
Kisumu All Starlets vs Mombasa Olympic
The second match of the day was between hosts Kisumu All Starlets and Mombasa Olympic which kicked off at 1300 hrs.
The Kisumu-based side were looking to join the mid-table and untangle themselves from the relegation matrix while the coastal side continued with the fight against relegation.
In the end, none of the teams was able to find the back of the net and the game ended in a goalless draw.
Kisumu All Starlets are eighth on the league table with 15 points while Olympic have moved a position higher and are now 10th on the table.
Vihiga Queens vs Zetech Sparks
Title-chasing Vihiga Queens were the last to play at Moi Stadium as they hosted university side Zetech Sparks with the match ending 2-1 in favour of Vihiga Queens.
Zetech took the lead through Beverline Adika in the first half, a lead that they kept until the half-time whistle.
However, Vihiga Queens came from the break a much more rejuvenated side and made a comeback to take all three points with goals from Martha Amunyolette and Alive Mideri.
Vihiga are still third on the table with 24 points, four shy of league leaders Kenya Police Bullets and one less than second-placed Kibera Soccer Women who were not in action over the weekend and therefore have played a match less.
