'Yellow Gigio' at risk of ban; 'He is adult enough,' hopes Pep

If he receives another booking in the following six games, Donnarumma will become the first-ever Premier League custodian suspended for accumulated yellow cards!

Ten Premier League games - four yellow cards. Not so strange for a defender or a defensive midfielder, but for a goalkeeper - uncanny!

Well, you better believe it, as the Man City shot-stopper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, is just one booking away from becoming the first-ever EPL custodian suspended for accumulated yellow cards!

So far, the Italian was booked against Arsenal, Bournemouth, Newcastle, and Leeds - once for time-wasting and three times for dissent, and the rules are clear. If a player accumulates five yellow cards in the first 19 league matches, he'll face a one-game ban.

In EPL history, 12 custodians have received five or more bookings, but none of them have done so quickly as to be suspended.

Even though Donnarumma's understudy, Stefan Ortega, is a quality goalie, Gigio displayed his class in a short period of time, saving the Cityzens on numerous occasions and proving to be invaluable to the team.

Given the keeper's situation, it's no wonder City boss Pep Guardiola was asked whether he'd talk to him about the issue.

"No, he is adult enough. For sure, we will step-by-step understand things in the league and new behaviours," the Spaniard calmly said via The Guardian.

So, apart from focusing on keeping his net intact tonight against Fulham (22.30) in the Cityzens' new EPL challenge, Donnarumma will have to be cautious and watch his mouth and behaviour. Otherwise, he could seriously harm the team.
