Following this bizarre news, everyone around the best basketball league in the world wonders one thing: What was Harrison Barnes dreaming about?

Harrison Barnes is a pretty well-known name in the NBA. He's been in the league for 14 years, during which he has represented four teams (Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, and San Antonio Spurs). He won the title with the Warriors in 2015, has made 993 appearances throughout his career, and has averaged 13.9 points per game.

Over the last two seasons, he's been one of the most experienced players on the Spurs' young, talented squad, bringing an ideal balance to the Texas franchise's roster.

However, he found himself in the public eye for a bizarre reason yesterday.

Namely, after playing in 364 consecutive matches (he missed the clash last time on December 4, 2021), the 33-year-old was forced to miss the game against the Philadelphia 76ers because he picked up an ankle injury in his sleep?!

At first, it sounds absolutely surreal, but San Antonio head coach Mitch Johnson confirmed this information to The Athletic.

"He woke up from his nap and we found out. So he’s with the medical staff now and hope it’s nothing serious," he said via AOL.

Barnes' absence did not affect his teammates, as they demolished the 76ers on the road 131-91 and maintained second place in the Western Conference.

Either way, the veteran's case will be remembered as one of the strangest ever in the NBA, while the whole world is wondering only one thing: What was he dreaming about?
