
NCPB continue unbeaten run as Black Mamba keep chase

The millers are looking to win the title unbeaten.
Kenya Handball Federation (KHF) men's league holders National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) on the weekend, continued their good showing, beating Strathmore University 27-19 to extend their unbeaten tun to 11 matches.
Head coach Danstun Eshikumo believes that the team having a game plan for each match and for the entire season has seen them continue their dominance adding that they are looking to bag yet another double this season. .
"We always have a plan and follow through on it. Each match we approach with caution amd good tactics. We are eyeing an unbeaten run this season and nltaking nothing to chance despite the opposition we face. Last year we lost one match, but we want a clean slate this season.

Despite the good run, we know that matches will get tougher so we intent to work harder to achieve our goals," offered Eshikumo.
His opposite number, Peter Mwathi believes that experience cost them the match and they will have to regroup as they look to go back to winning ways.
"We held NCPB in the first fifteen minutes and the difference between the two teams showed in the last minutes when experience came into play.
Going forward, it is important for us to play more of these tough matches and we will be good to compete with the millers and other top teams," offered Mwathi.
Meanwhile, Black Mamba had a good weekend picking back-to-back victories 47-18 against newbies Dessert Scorpions and 28-27 against Thika HC.
"Thika were competitive and changed their game in the second half and put us in trouble, having led 18-9 at half time. We weathered the pressure and were able to win. We have two weeks to correct our mistakes before the next game," offered Mamba's coach Abdalla Otieno
Paul Ondara adds that Mamba are still on course for the title if the squad remains healthy. The Kaloleni-based side has lost one in nine matches and remains second on the log.
"Saturday's match was warm up for Sunday, not to say that Scorpion did not play well because they did. On Sunday, we led from first whistle to last and even when we came under immense pressure, we did not crack," offered Ondara.
