Okutoyi was given a wild card into Round One of the main draw where she will encounter players of a different age group if she continues to the third round, having met the Latvian and with a meeting against the 19-year old Slovakian as she seeks to break into the Women's Tour
She put up a spirited fight against the 20-year-old Latvian in the second set after being level on four games to win the match on straight sets after one hour and twenty minutes.

The tennis star had an impressive run in the Junior Grand Slam during the Australian Open despite being knocked out in the third round in January, sailing through past Federica Urgesi and Zara Larke in the first two rounds respectively but her fairytale was brought to a disappointing end in the third round as she lost in straight sets to Serbia’s Lola Radivojevic.
Her win against Urgesi was historic as she became the first Kenyan girl to record a Junior Grand Slam match-win, and went on to double the number of wins in the subsequent round, being tossed out just one match away from the quarters.
