
2022 Africa 7s Cup: Final squads named

The tournament takes place this weekend 23-24 April at the Kyadondo Grounds
With only two days left before the 2022 Africa men’s 7s cup kicks off in Kampala, Uganda this weekend, various teams have already named their official 12 man squads that will take part in the crucial tournament doubling up as the qualifiers for the 2022 Rugby World Cup Sevens set to be held in South Africa.
2019 silver medalists Uganda who lost 29-0 to defending champions Kenya in the main cup final have five new faces in their team that will be captained by Michael Wokorach.

Burkina Faso return to the elite African tourney after failing to qualify for the 2019 edition. The West African nation finished third in the regional qualifier back then but they return this year, having earned the silver medal at the Paa Joe Stadium in Kumasi, Ghana.

Last time fourth place finishers Madagascar will face Botswana as they begin the tournament.
