England will face off with Uruguay in the final

The men's national rugby 7s side, Shujaa, were on the receiving end as they suffered a heavy 36-0 defeat to England in the semifinal of the Challenge Trophy at the 2022 Rugby World Cup Sevens.

Shujaa had dropped to the Challenge Trophy following their Round of 16 exit in the hands of Argentina on Friday, but they saw off Scotland with a convincing 24-5 win in the semis to book England.

Tom Emery, Jamie Adamson, Tom Mitchell, Calum Randle, and Will Homer scored the tries for England, with Freddie Rodick on conversion duties.

Emery gave England the lead in the first minute, sprinting down through the middle for the try and successfully getting the ball over and between the posts for the extras.

From the onset, Shujaa seemed to be in a disarray, racking up foul after foul and England capitalized on that, and not even the physical superiority of the Kenyan boys could get the points for the Damian McGrath-coached side.

Jamie Adamson scored England's second try right at the death of the first half to see the Tony Roques charges take a 12-0 lead into the break despite missing the second conversion.

On resumption for the second half, Adamson continued from where England had left, fending off a challenge from Herman Humwa to score England's third try with Roddick converting successfully.

Mitchell and Randle followed with tries in quick succession, with Homer hitting the last nail on the coffin from a counter at a time when Shujaa were seemingly pushing for an equalizer.
