Collated Match Day 1 Results

Kabras Sugar 56 - MMUST 0

It was a rude awakening for Masinde Muliro University (MMUST), who are making their Kenya Cup debut for the first time in their history, when they took on 2021 Sisimka Charity Cup winners and 2016 Kenya cup winners Kabras in their first runout of the season. The students were victims of a 56-0 full-time score as they went down in defeat without a response in the Katch Derby that took place at the Kakamega Showgrounds.

KCB 24 - Strathmore 16

University side Leos made a good account of themselves against the defending champions but a late surge from KCB saw the Bankers turn the game around from 16-12 to emerge 24-16 winners as they began their title defense.

Menengai Oilers 39 - Kenya Harlequins 13

ASK Nakuru Showgrounds hosted the game between Oilers and Quins. Menengai Oilers handed Kenya Harlequins a 39-13 loss to grab their first win of the season.
