Leos have suffered three consecutive losses to Homeboyz, Nakuru RFC, and Mwamba.

After making the Kenya Cup playoffs in the last two seasons, Strathmore Leos are enduring an indifferent campaign having only picked up a single win but head coach Luis 'Fadhe' Kisia is confident of turning things around with a new system.

The Varsity side have suffered three consecutive losses to Homeboyz, Nakuru RFC, and most recently against Mwamba with their lone victory coming in their opening game of the season against MMUST who have suffered five straight losses.

Despite picking up a loss against Mwamba, Kisia noted that he adopted a new system and will stick to it in the coming games and hopes it will pay off once his players execute it.

"At first I thought it was the system and game plan we were using and in the Mwamba game we came up with a new system that really worked for us because we decided to play territorial, unfortunately, the result was not as we wanted.

I think the new system is working, once everybody picks up, we are going to shine and get results," said the former Mwamba head coach.

Leos were raided in the mid-season transfer window, losing Clinton Khasai to Kenya Harlequins, Festus Shiasi to KCB, Philemon Olang to Nondescripts, and Bethuel Anami to French side Stade Caennais.

Kisia however refused to admit that the loss of key players played a part in their loss to Mwamba as he revealed that the loss of players is part and parcel of being a Varsity side.

"I don't have any bad feelings with regards to players who left, it is very unfortunate being a Varsity side because after four years guys finish school and clubs will always come calling for the good players.

It is a wake-up call on our end, luckily we had good requirements before the season, we had two people in every position and the guys who are left are able and up to the task," added Kisia.
