
Rugby fraternity mourning ex-Nakuru RFC Chairman

Under his stewardship, Nakuru RFC enjoyed huge success.
The Kenyan rugby fraternity has been thrown into mourning following the demise of former Top Fry Nakuru RFC chairman Ali Al-Jabri.

During Ali’s tenure, Nakuru RFC enjoyed huge success winning back to back Kenya Cup titles which to date remain their only top-flight titles.
In a statement released on Friday, the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) confirmed the passing of Ali and waxed lyrical on his contribution to the game.
“The Kenyan Rugby fraternity is saddened to hear the news of the demise of former Nakuru RFC Chairman Ali Al-Jabri.
A great lover and supporter of the game, Ali's selfless contributions to Kenyan rugby during and after his term will always be cherished.

On top of the two Kenya Cup titles, Nakuru also bagged the Enterprise Cup back in 2014 after beating KCB RFC in the final to claim the double.
