After hitting the 100m standard for Paris 2024, the athletics federation and the Nigerian National Olympics Committee failed to enter her name, and she was forced to compete in the 200m.
This was the second time she would miss an Olympic event due to federation's failures.
In 2021, she also missed the Tokyo Olympics 200m after the two institutions failed to get her tested in time, a mistake that affected 13 other athletes.
Reports indicate that Ofili, who expressed her frustration to the AIU after years of neglect, started the process of changing allegiance on 31 May, just days before the same federation leadership was re-elected this June.
The development comes days after a Turkish Consultant claimed that Jamaican talents Roje Stona and Rajindra Campbell were in the process of switching allegiance.
Additionally, the 2022 World Under-20 champion Jaydon Hibbert is also in the process of obtaining his Turkish passport, according to the consultant.
Wayne Pinnock, the 2023 World Championship and 2024 Paris Olympics silver medallist in the long jump, is also among the top stars bound for Türkiye.

The athletes are also said to have agreed to eight-year contracts, through to the 2032 Olympic Games in Brisbane.
The Germany federation maintains they are yet to receive any requests from said athletes.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Federation is yet to address the Ofili situation.
