Ingwe shot to the top of the league summit after a 1-0 victory over Bidco United in a match played on Tuesday, 22 December at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, where Samuel Semo’s 31st-minute strike proved to be the difference.
The win extended Leopards' unbeaten run to six, with the club tasting defeat only once this season.

Speaking after the Bidco clash, Ingwe captain Victor Omune elucidated the factors that have led to their impressive run.
“The secret is just working hard and believing. I think we were just unlucky at the start of the season, but now things are aligning.
I believe it has been teamwork where everyone is doing their best. If you look at the way we are playing, there is love between players where everyone wishes the other the best, thus making it possible for us to grind results,” said Omune.
In their last six matches, Leopards have conceded just two goals, keeping four clean sheets, and Omune weighed in on that remarkable streak.
“We are working on improving all departments, from defense to attack. We are currently compact in defense as a team and able to defend even a single goal,” he added.
The former Kariobangi Sharks forward is one of the experienced players whom head coach Fred Ambani resorted to in recent matches.

The 32-year-old is now fancying the idea of leading the club to their first league title in 28 years, a feat that would earn them a place in the club’s history books.
“This is a big team, and to captain it is an achievement in itself. I just hope that we can now win titles together,” he stated.
Leopards’ next match will be on Saturday, 10 January against 12-time league champions Tusker FC.
