AFC Leopards' new signing Christopher Koloti says moving to the den fulfills what he describes as a childhood dream, and he is looking forward to making his mark at the den.

Koloti was acquired from FKF Division One side Green Commandos, and he is already training with the team. Ingwe had to fend off interest from a couple of FKF Premier League sides to land the player’s signature, thus fulfilling the youngster’s childhood dream of wearing Leopards’ blue and white.

“It's been a childhood dream. I have been scoring goals in school and in the lower league. I'm looking forward to continuing this good run. Allan Wanga has been my inspiration,” the player told the club’s official media.

Koloti is not entirely new to Ingwe, as he played an exhibition match for the club in December. Leopards were invited to Kakamega to play an exhibition match against Kakamega Homeboyz, and they brought along youngsters and trialists, among them Koloti, who would score the all-important goal to down Homeboyz in the second half of the closely fought duel.

Ingwe coach Tomas Trucha sees potential in the youngster and believes that he is a good addition to his squad, which struggled in the first leg but appears to be finding its footing in the second phase of the campaign.

"He is a young player with potential for the future. He was scouted from high school games, and we're happy to acquire him. He is a good addition to the club and will bolster our attack,” Trucha stated.

The striker will compete for a starting berth in Ingwe’s frontline that has another new signing Arthur Gitego, and Brian Yakhama who is the club’s top scorer so far this campaign.

The burly forward could make his debut on Sunday when AFC Leopards take on Kariobangi Sharks at Nyayo National Stadium.
