Enzo Maresca has had serious problems with sidelined centre-backs, as Tosin Adarabioyo, Wesley Fofana, and Benoit Badiashile have all had injury issues, while Levi Colwill won't return before April due to his ACL tear.Hence, Chelsea could use a reinforcement in the back line and Barcelona could use money - not less than €35 million, which is the defender's value according to Transfermarkt.

The fact that Araujo was recently on the Camp Nou exit door could increase the London side's chances.
