Terrible news is coming from Herning, where the 19-year-old Midtjylland midfielder Alamara Djabi has been seriously injured in a stabbing

In the early hours of Sunday morning, in Herning, Denmark, where he plays for Midtjylland, the Bissau-Guinean youngster Alamara Djabi suffered serious injuries after being stabbed.

The 19-year-old had been in critical condition, underwent several surgeries, and was put into an induced coma. Fortunately, he's recently awakened and is currently stable.

"Alamara Djabi was subsequently in danger of dying and underwent emergency surgery. He has since undergone another surgery, and after professional efforts from the called rescue personnel and later hospital doctors, his condition is now stable. He has woken up from an induced coma and is doing well under the circumstances," it said in Midtjylland's official statement announced on their website.

The club also added that it is "in close dialogue and cooperation with the authorities and is providing support to Alamara Djabi and his family."

The midfielder progressed through Benfica and Midtjylland's youth ranks, and, aside from the Danish giants, played senior football only during his season-long loan spell with Portuguese club Mafra.

Considered the club's prospect, he made two appearances with the popular Wolves' first team, clocking 38 minutes in total. In the current season, he featured in the Danish side's Europa League qualifying clash against the Finnish KuPS last August.

Hopefully, the young African will recover quickly and return to the pitch soon.
