Apparently, Everton have already started asking about Aaron Wan-Bissaka, whose West Ham had been relegated to the EFL Championship
The vultures are already circling West Ham United.
Just a few days after the Hammers' relegation to the EFL Championship, Premier League clubs have begun eyeing up some of the club's biggest names - and according to reports from The Telegraph, Everton are among the first to make a move.
Their target: Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
West Ham's financial situation has become increasingly complicated following relegation, especially after spending close to €200 million on squad reinforcements just a year ago. The London club are now expected to generate roughly €170 million through player sales to balance the books, a reality rival clubs are fully aware of as they begin circling for bargains.
Everton believe they may have found one.
The Merseyside club are reportedly preparing an offer worth around €11-12 million for Wan-Bissaka, although West Ham will hope interest from other sides could eventually drive the price higher.
Everton's search for a new right-back intensified after the departure of club legend Seamus Coleman following 17 years at Goodison Park. While David Moyes had increasingly relied on Jake O'Brien in that role over the past season, Coleman's exit has left a gap in the squad, and Wan-Bissaka is viewed as an experienced Premier League solution.
The 28-year-old defender brings exactly that experience.
After emerging through the ranks at Crystal Palace, Wan-Bissaka earned a €55 million move to Manchester United, where he spent five seasons before joining West Ham two years ago. Since arriving at the London Stadium, he has registered two goals and eight assists in 65 appearances across all competitions.
And he may not be the only important figure heading for the exit door.
Club captain Jarrod Bowen is also facing an uncertain future after losing his place in the Three Lions' squad despite contributing 11 goals and 12 assists this season. The forward is reportedly considering whether to remain loyal to West Ham in the Championship or pursue offers from Premier League clubs.
Young midfielder Mateus Fernandes has attracted interest from Manchester United, while attacking talents Crysencio Summerville and El Hadji Malick Diouf are also being monitored by clubs across England and Europe.
Even the future of manager Nuno Espirito Santo remains unclear as West Ham prepare for what could become a complete rebuild following one of the most disastrous collapses in recent EPL history.
