In the other matches scheduled for today, Mozzart Bet-powered APS Bomet face Posta Rangers while Murang'a Seal play host to Nairobi United.

Ahead of today's matches, Gor Mahia are at the summit of the league table with 57 points, two more than arch-rivals AFC Leopards in second place as defending champions Police FC close the top three with 47 points.

At the other end of the table, Sofapaka are bottom with 17 points and are joined in the relegation zone by Bidco United and APS Bomet with 22 and 25 points respectively.

Gor Mahia vs Bandari FC

League leaders Gor Mahia have Police FC to thank for preserving their position in the league and giving them a chance to extend their lead at the top of the league table to five points when they host Bandari FC at the Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani from 1615 hrs.

Leopards were set to topple Gor Mahia at the top if they would have won against Police but the law enforcers oversaw a 3-0 demolition of Ingwe at the Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday 18 April.

With 57 points to their name, K’Ogalo are keen to maximize their advantage and secure a win that would take them to the 60-point mark.

Despite failing to win their last two matches, the record league champions have largely been on a good run of form that includes seven wins in their last 10 matches.

Bandari on the other hand have had a bad run in the league and have won just one of their past five matches with three wins in ten attempts.

The coastal side is keen to pile misery on K’Ogalo with a win that would move them from 10th to sixth in the league table.

Murang'a Seal vs Nairobi United

Murang'a Seal will begin life without coach Osborne Monday when they host Mozzart Bet defending champions Nairobi United at St. Sebastian Park, Murang'a from 1500 hrs.

Seal are angling to get back to winning ways having lost all their last three matches including a 5-1 defeat to Mfalme FC in the prestigious Mozzart Bet Cup.

In the league, they have only one win in seven attempts with the string of poor results costing Monday his job.

They face a Naibois side that equally had a bad run having won just one of their last five league matches but will be encouraged by their 2-0 victory over Posta Rangers in the Mozzart Bet Cup.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, assistant coach Boniface Omondi expressed confidence in victory even as he cautioned his charges of the threat of a new coach at Seal.

“For our match against Muranga Seal, our preparations have been very good since we have had a whole week to prepare which has been so rare so far this season. We expect a tricky encounter since the opponent has changed coaches recently, we therefore expect a new manager bounce and new tactics,” said Omondi.

Naibois have been boosted by the availability of Ovella Ochieng, Majaliwa Charo and Steve Biko, all of whom were involved in full team training this week. However, they will still have to cope without the services of Chris Waibi, Titus Ssematimba and Prince Bureheya who are all sidelined with injuries

Posta Rangers vs APS Bomet

At the Kasarani Annex, Posta Rangers will welcome APS Bomet in the first match of the day, kicking off at 1300 hrs.

Posta head into the match on the back of three consecutive losses including a defeat in the Mozzart Bet Cup while in the league, they have won two of their past 10 matches.

The Mailmen are currently 13th on the log with 31 points and will be out to get the first win in coach Zedekiah 'Zico' Otieno’s return to the club.

APS on the other hand are in desperate need of three points that would move them from the relegation zone where they currently sit and increase their chances of retaining their league status.
