The bottom three remain the same, with bottom-placed Kariobangi Sharks joined in the relegation by Sofapaka and Murang'a Seal with 12 points apiece.
Police are heading to the match on a good run of form, having won four of their last five matches, the latest being their 1-0 victory over Kariobangi Sharks.
Coach Dusan Stojanovic will head out to guide his team to a win that will in turn return them to the summit of the table, and this time open up a three-point gap to the team in second.
Leopards, on the other hand, earned an important victory in the Mashemeji Derby against Gor Mahia to end a three-match winless streak.
Ingwe will be banking on the momentum gained from the derby win to once again down a top team in their quest for the league title.
Coach Fred Ambani is expected to retain the experienced players whom he attributed the derby win to, in the afternoon clash.
A win for eighth-placed Ingwe will take them to 20 points, and join the leading pack as the title race continues to tighten.
At Awendo Green Stadium, Mara Sugar will lock horns with struggling Kariobangi Sharks from 1400 hrs.
The Sugar Millers will be hunting for their fourth win of the season and the second at home. They will be encouraged by Sharks’ poor run of form to fight for what would be valuable three points that would take their point tally to 17.
Sharks, on the other hand, must find a way of ending their seven-match winless streak if they are to win the fight against relegation.
