Talanta have been performing fairly well, as they have lost once in the opening ten matches
FC Talanta winger December Kisaka believes that the club has what it takes to achieve a top-five finish in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League this season.
Talanta have been performing fairly well, as they have lost once in the opening ten matches to place seventh on the log with 15 points, six off the leaders, Posta Rangers.
The team has won three times, drawn six times, and is joint second in scoring goals in the competition, behind Rangers, who have scored a goal more than them.
Talanta handed the Rangers their first loss of the season after thrashing the mailmen 3-1 last month at the Ruaraka Grounds.
Kisaka said the team had shown improvement compared to past seasons, where they had been fighting to keep their top-flight status.
The winger, who is best known for his dribbling skills and wicked deliveries, said a top finish for the club was possible if the club kept the fire burning.
"I think we will be among the teams in the top five brackets this season. We started well, and everyone in the team is focused. We are determined to have a successful campaign," said Kisaka.
The Ken Kenyatta-coached side is set to host the struggling Muhoroni Youth on Friday in the last fixture before the November FIFA international break.
Kisaka, who has yet to score a goal this season, hopes to hit the back of the net and see his side bag the most points in the game.
"I have been helping create in the past games. I hope to be on the score sheet and help the team win,” stated Kisaka.
