Everything happened so quickly, and ex-Spurs forward is about to clock his first minutes with the new club on Sunday
Brennan Johnson has officially joined Crystal Palace, the club announced on Friday night.
The Eagles will pay Tottenham Hotspur €40 million for the Welsh forward - the biggest signing in the club's history, breaking Christian Benteke's nearly decade-old record.
Johnson never hit the heights Spurs hoped for after his €55 million move in 2023. Frustrated under Thomas Frank, he struggled to make an impact despite scoring the decisive goal in Tottenham’s Europa League final win over Manchester United - a memory north London fans won't forget.

Now, under Oliver Glasner, Johnson arrives as a versatile attacking weapon.
"He brings speed, finishing, and options in our offensive play," said Glasner, who persuaded Johnson to join them during their chat on Thursday. "He'll prove a valuable addition in the coming matches."
The 24-year-old is set to be included in Crystal Palace's squad to face Newcastle on Sunday.
"I'm really excited and I'm really happy," said Johnson upon arrival at Selhurst Park.
"Crystal Palace are such a great club, one that I've always admired. It's a great time for me to be here and join the journey that this club is on - I'm super excited."
Johnson has left Tottenham with 106 appearances, 27 goals, and 18 assists to his name. Add his Forest numbers - 109 games, 29 goals, 12 assists - and his Premier League experience (122 appearances), and Palace have a player ready to make an immediate impact.
