Ahead of today’s fixtures, Kenya Police Bullets sit at the top of the table with 46 points, two more than Ulinzi Stars, who have played one match more. Police also have a game in hand.
Kisped Queens and Kisumu Allstarlets, who have already been relegated to the FKF Women’s National Super League (WNSL), are bottom of the table and are joined in the relegation zone by Gideon Starlets on 14 points, making the relegation battle largely a Nyanza affair.
Trinity Starlets vs Kenya Police Bullets
Kenya Police Bullets could once again make history by winning their third consecutive league title in as many seasons if they secure victory over Trinity Starlets.
The two sides meet in an anticipated high-intensity clash at Trinity Complex in Kikopey, with kick-off set for 1400 hrs.
The law enforcers head into the match two points above Ulinzi Stars, who have played a match more and are inactive this weekend.
Should Police win, they will be crowned champions as they would open a five-point gap with just one match remaining.
Trinity, on the other hand, are keen to secure at least a point that would guarantee them a third-place finish, which is currently their main target this season.
Elsewhere, FKF Women’s Cup reigning champions Kibera Soccer Women will be away to Zetech Sparks at Zetech University Mang’u Campus, also kicking off at 1400 hrs.
At Mumboha Grounds, Vihiga Queens will host Gideon Starlets, who are fighting to avoid relegation, while Madira Soccer Assassins face Kayole Starlets at nearby Mbihi Grounds. Both matches also kick off at 1400 hrs.
