The visitors, meanwhile, are searching for a second consecutive win to boost their LaLiga survival hopes.

Celta Vigo have recovered from a rough spell impressively, winning their last two league matches against Atletico Madrid and Elche.

Across their previous six matches in all competitions, they recorded two wins and four defeats, scoring six goals while conceding 10.

Their recent home form has been inconsistent, suffering defeats against Freiburg and Real Oviedo before beating Elche 3-1.

Away from home, however, they secured a huge 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid last time out.

Borja Iglesias remains their biggest attacking threat with 14 league goals this season, while young winger Williot Swedberg continues to provide energy in advanced areas.

Defensively, Celta are missing Carl Starfelt and Javi Rueda, while midfielders Matias Vecino and Miguel Roman Gonzalez are also unavailable.

Veteran striker Iago Aspas is expected to provide experience from the bench if needed.

Levante enter this contest after an entertaining 3-2 win over Osasuna, a result that kept their survival hopes alive.

They have won three of their last six matches, drawing once and losing twice.

During that run, they scored seven goals and conceded nine.

Their away form remains a concern after heavy defeats against Villarreal and Real Sociedad, although they did earn a respectable goalless draw at Espanyol.

Levante’s top scorer, Carlos Espi, has nine goals this season and continues to lead the line effectively, while Pablo Martinez and Kervin Etta have contributed creatively in midfield.

Injuries could hurt the visitors, with goalkeeper Andres Primo, defender Unai Elgezabal, midfielders Keylor Arriaga and Carlos Alvarez, plus striker Ivan Romero, all sidelined.

Recent meetings strongly favour Celta Vigo. They are unbeaten in the last five head-to-head encounters and won the reverse fixture 2-1 earlier this season.

Key Pointers;

  • Levante have won one point in the last five matches against sides in the top six
  • Celta Vigo have won three of their last four matches against Levante
  • Levante have lost half of their last 10 matches against Celta Vigo
  • Celta Vigo won their last two outings

Celta Vigo possesses greater attacking quality, better league consistency, and a stronger recent record in this fixture.

Levante’s desperation could make the match competitive, but their defensive vulnerabilities away from home remain difficult to ignore.

Prediction: Celta Vigo to Win
