The mailmen are scheduled to play Murang'a Seal in round four.

It is hard not to talk about Posta Rangers’ start in the 2023-2024 Football Kenya Federation Premier League owing to the manner in which they won the last two rounds.

Rangers recovered from a slow start to wipe the floor with Kenya Police 3-0 before serving Sofapaka with an almost similar dose as the mailmen thumped the former champions 3-1 last weekend.

John Kamau’s charges kicked off the season with a barren draw against Bidco United but have since recovered to sit at the summit thanks to their impressive goal-scoring record.

On top of scoring goals, the team has been playing attractive football, which skipper Kennedy Owino attributes to the good package offered by the management.

Owino said the fruits of the renewed support the management has been offering the team are being reaped and seen on the pitch.

The support from the office is excellent. The package they are offering is honestly a source of motivation. We are trying our best to repay the support and faith they have invested in us,” said the central defender.

Besides the financial inspiration, Owino picked the collective resolve of the playing unit to push for better performance this season for a good start.

Players understand the need to be responsible. We want the best for our careers and the club,” added Owino.

The former Gor Mahia defender also pointed at the role the technical bench has been playing in sharpening the team and working socks off to have the right cohesion.

There is also good support from the technical bench. They have been listening to our concerns and advice, and on top of that, coaching and managing us well,” offered the former Western Stima man.

Meanwhile, with the support from all quarters and the depth of the team, Owino reckons that the team will sustain the good run for a long time.

He, however, declined to be drawn to the title talk, insisting that it was too early to think of going for the elusive gong.

We have depth and everything else we need to succeed. I am sure we will have a successful season,” he expressed his confidence.
