The 2008 Kenyan Premier League winners, Mathare United, have laid bare their January transfer window plans following a series of unwanted results.
Out of the 13 matches played so far, the team has won four times, drawn three, and tasted defeat in six matches.

While the team has been dominating in most of their games, failing to take chances has proven an area of major concern for coach John Kamau and his backroom staff.
Speaking to the media following their barren draw against Bidco, Kamau revealed that the club will break the bank and sign attackers in January.
“We had identified some players to solve that before the start of the season, but we could not manage to sign them.
We will now try our best with our current squad before we explore the transfer market for players who can help us solve the problem,” said a visibly frustrated Kamau.
The former Harambee Stars assistant coach expressed his satisfaction with how his team plays, noting the technical bench has done their best.
“While our results have been inconsistent, our performance has not. We have played well in almost every game this season, moving the ball from the back through build-up until the final third, after which we rely on individual quality, which has been wanting throughout the season,” he added.

“I am not pleased with the results. We ought to have won the match, and therefore I consider it two points dropped rather than one gained.
The most disappointing part is that we created so many chances but did not bury even one, which points to striking as our biggest problem this season,” remarked Kamau.
